Cranston Animal Shelter

The Cranston Animal Shelter, located at 920 Phenix Avenue, opened its doors in November 1984. It houses stray dogs, cats, and homeless pets.

Following July 24th's Grand Re-opening of the shelter at 3:00, the Cranston Animal Shelter is once again open to the public, and the adoption hours will be T, TH, Fri - 11:30 3:30 and Saturday 12:00 - 3:00.

The Cranston Animal Shelter consists of a kennel area with 40 dog runs and a puppy/cat room with 36 various size cages, accommodating up to 75 puppies, kittens, and cats. The Animal Shelter is equipped with a fleet of vehicles consisting of 3 capped pickup trucks and appropriate, humane capture gear.
